Do I need to make an appointment for an estimate?

No, just pop in and we will carry out an inspection of your vehicle. We will post, fax or email a copy of the estimate to you.

Do you charge for estimates?


Could you give me an estimate over the phone?

No, we need to see the damaged vehicle.

Do you repair commercial vehicles?

Yes, we repair light commercial vehicles and camper vans up to and including Mercedes Sprinter size vehicles

Do I have to use the approved repairer my insurance company is recommending?

You may find your insurance company instructs you to have your vehicle repaired by a body shop of their choice, but most people don't realise that you don't have to go where your insurance company directs you.
We will carry out a full inspection of your vehicle prior to submitting an estimate to your insurance company.
Your insurance company engineer will arrange to inspect the vehicle and agree figures with us prior to repair.

Are the repairs guaranteed?

Yes, Cannon Autobodies guarantee repairs to your vehicle and parts are covered by the manufactures 12 months warranty.

What do I have to pay?

Private Repairs:
Invoice total in full on collection of your vehicle.
Insurance Repairs:
If an excess is required to be paid this amount will need to be paid directly to Cannon Autobodies on completion of your repair.
VAT: If your company is VAT registered.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major debit and credit cards (except American Express).

Can I have a courtesy car and what are the terms?

Yes, subject to availability we may be able to supply you with a vehicle whilst yours is in for repair.

Is there a charge for the courtesy car?

No, but you will be expected to provide proof of insurance cover from your insurance company for the vehicle and your driver's licence.
Replace any fuel you use and return the vehicle in the same order with which you received it.
Any fines incurred speeding or parking, etc. will be your responsibility.

Can you drop me home?

Yes, local drop off and collections can be organised prior to repair.
